Q & A: How I Made Good Money In College by Busting My Backside (Supplemental)
Earlier today, we looked at how to make big money in college. And, while that advice was geared specifically toward college students, just about anybody can use the advice offered to make good money on the side.
And, as alluded to earlier, I wish I knew other ways to make money when I was in college. Don't get me wrong - I made good money in college - but I had to bust my backside to do it.
That's because my parents made barely too much money for me to get any money. As such, I worked full time delivering pizzas while attending college full time. I was lucky enough to make enough money to get my degree from a private school without any student loans hanging over me. And I lived off campus in my own apartment.
Needless to say, that was a lot - a LOT!!! - of pizzas. My schedule was stuffed with classes, work, homework, more work, a club I belonged to, even more work, dating, and hanging out with my pizza shop cronies. Most nights, I only had three or four hours of sleep.
In short, I probably would have gotten better grades if I hadn't spent so much time sharking pizzas. I would have gotten a bit more sleep, too. But times were different - the Internet wasn't "THE INTERNET" yet.
Yeah, I wish I knew another way at the time to make good money. It would have been nice to get a solid six hours of sleep - and spend more time getting better grades. I wish I could have made big money doing something related to my major, too.
