NETWORKING: How to Use Verbal SEO and Why It Matters (Supplemental)

We looked at the top 10 networking buzz words to use in an earlier post today. We also looked at a few reasons why you should use networking buzz words - or verbal SEO.

Keep in mind that "SEO" stands for "Search Engine Optimization." Keep in mind, also, that most people only hear things that in line with their self-interest. And, since the human brain tends to filter out the unimportant, most professionals will be most interested in the buzz words corresponding to their own self-interests.

That's why using networking buzz words is essentially using verbal SEO - you're using the buzz words that interest most professionals. Using verbal SEO can add to your brand and open networking connections.

But how do you use verbal SEO?

Simple. Use the top 10 networking buzz words the same whay a name dropper would. Pepper the buzz words into your networking conversations on a relatively frequent basis. Verbal SEO - like "regular" SEO - depends, in part, on repetition. As such, hone in on a few networking buzz words that may interest your networking contacts, then repeat them several times.
