RESUMES Flashback: Putting Makeup On a Pig
Despite the advice given here, on The Daily Machete, as well as by other sources of work search wisdom, not every job seeker keeps his/her resume up to date. As shocking as it may seem, some only update their resumes when they get canned or laid off. Sure, updating it on a monthly basis can be a drag, but it's really the best way not to forget your accomplishments and achievements. But, if you haven't updated your resume right along and need to submit it for a job right now, there's no use crying over spilled milk. Just take the advice provided in this post from one year ago:
