RESUMES: Resume Blogs

Resumes are just part of the picture. In fact, a growing number of employers are looking at – and placing more weight on - job seekers' online presences. That's just one of the reasons all job seekers should have a resume blog.

But what should your resume blog be? Here are a few things you should consider placing on your resume blog:

Your resume should be viewable (sans address and phone number) in employers' browsers. It's also a good idea to make your resume downloadable in Word and PDF, too. Place a link to your resume(s) high in your sidebar, on your “About Me” page, and, for good measure, at the bottom of every post on your resume blog.

IN THE CARAVAN: Update your resume blog frequently, provide an “About Me” section, and be sure your resume is easy to view and download.
