Dymo LabelWriter a Great Addition to Office and Home

My family has always said that with my handwriting, I should have been a doctor.  The only thing holding me back, my brother points out, is my lack of knowledge, talent and skill.

Much as it hurts to admit it, my family is right.  About the handwriting thing, that is.  Admittedly, my handwriting is barely legible - even to me.  The Lady of the House can't read what I write by hand and neither can my colleagues nor clients.

Every office has at least one person with the same problem.  And, because staff tends to turn over every few years, it's often impossible to get someone to be able to read something handwritten by a former employee.

That's why we have technology.  Computers relieve us from having to read someone else's handwriting, and so do label makers.  In fact, I've been using label makers for just about as long as my family has complained about my handwriting.

In fact, I have label makers for both personal and professional use.  At home, labels last much longer.  When I bought my house about fifteen years ago, for instance, I noticed the previous owner had labeled all of the circuit breakers by hand - and in pencil.  Figuring out which breaker corresponded to which part of the house was a hassle, but at least now I'll know which is which.  And at work, some of my colleagues occasionally take away my pens and pencils so I can't write anything by hand (like names on files).

Because I've been using label makers for so long and so often, I'm looking to get one that's a bit more durable from Dymo.  They've got some great models at very affordable prices.  Take their LabelManager 220P, for instance.  It's got a typewriter-style QWERTY keyboard, so it's intuitive to use. The LabelPoint 250 is another great hand-held, with a 13 character display that lets you preview and edit before printing.

But Dymo also has some great office solutions - like the Dymo LabelWriter - for small business owners (quite a few of which read The Daily Machete).  If you want to save time at the Post Office, for instance, you can print out some online stamps. If you're a small business owner and you aren't printing your own postage, then trust me - it will save tons of time and make your office run much more efficiently because you won't have to pay precious man-hours for an employee to wait in line.

It should also be noted that the Dymo LabelWriter can make your office run extremely smooth.  It's a great USB-connected power tool every office should have.  In addition to printing out your online stamps, after all, you can also ensure that labels can be read for years - even decades - to come.

Even if you have somebody who has handwriting like mine working for you.
