INTERVIEWING: 10 Interview Questions You Should Never Ask
When you go into your job interviews, hopefully you’ll have a series of intelligent, informed interview questions to ask the hiring manager.
By contrast – and because we feel like being a little cheeky today – here are 10 interview questions you should never ask:
Bad job interview question 1: How firm are you on start times and returning from lunch?
Bad job interview question 2: What is your policy on hanging pictures and keeping goldfish, turtles and hermit crabs?
Bad job interview question 3: How often is inventory taken in the office supply room?
Bad job interview question 4: What’s the ratio here between single men and women?
Bad job interview question 5: Why don’t we continue our chat over drinks and maybe some dancing?
Bad job interview question 6: Do you give random drug tests, and if so, how often?
Bad job interview question 7: Is employee Internet usage monitored and recorded?
Bad job interview question 8: Where are the designated areas that I can leave stacks of religious pamphlets?
Bad job interview question 9: How often are performance reviews provided by management and will mine be given by anyone as hot as you?
Bad job interview question 10: I don’t need a full cup – can I just have a sip of yours?
IN THE CARAVAN: These are just a few of the questions you should never ask in a job interview. Not that you would. We’re just having fun with the topic today.
